Is this the correct answer?
I was doing a sample Toeic questions via ETS Canada.
In Part VI New TOEIC example question, can someone please explain to me why the answer is (B) "according", not (C) "according to"...?
Q: As we discussed, you will be paid twice a month _ _ _ _ the company' s normal payroll schedule.
(C) according to
(D) accordance with
Is "(B) according" the correct answer?
Please give some examples if possible, thanks a lot!

(B) is definitely not the correct answer.
The correct answer should be (C)
"according to" is a preposition. It means "following" or "based on".
for example, according to the weather forecast, there will be a snow storm tomorrow.
So the above sentence you have means that they follow the company's normal payroll schedule to pay you twice a month. (most companies in the US pay bi-weekly instead of monthly)
I hope this answers your question.Source(s): myself + cambridge dictionary

ACCORDING 後接的是主詞 所以不加 to 若是 接動詞 則加to
