Here are some facts about Bill Gates:

William Henry Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in Seattle, Washington.

His SAT score was 1590. The top score for the test is 1600.

By the age of 17, Gates had sold his first computer program, a time-tabling system for his high school, for $4,200.

Gates told his university teachers he would be a millionaire by age 30. He became a billionaire at age 31.

While at Harvard, Gates co-wrote Altair BASIC, which became Microsoft’s first product.

He met his wife, Melinda French, in 1987 at a Microsoft press event in Manhattan while she was a worker for the company. They would go on to get married on New Years Day in 1994.

In 2002, Bill Gates was considered more idolized than Chinese Communist leader Mao Tse-tungin a poll of teenagers in Hong Kong and China. The survey was conducted by the City University of Hong Kong.

He is currently having a building named after him at Carnegie Mellon University, called the Gates Building of Computer Science.

Bill Gates earns $250 every second; that’s about $20 million a day and $7.8 billion a year!

If he drops a thousand-dollar bill, he needn’t even bother to pick it up because in the four seconds it would take him to pick it up, he would’ve already earned it back.

The US national debt is about 5.62 trillion, if Bill Gates were to pay the debt by himself; he will finish it in less then 10 years.

He can donate US$15 to everyone on earth but still be left with US$5 Million for his pocket money.

Michael Jordan is the highest paid athlete in US. If he doesn't drink and eat, and keeps up his annual income i.e. US$30 Million, he'll have to wait for 277 years to become as rich as Bill Gates is now.

If Bill Gates was a country, he would be the 37th richest country on earth.

If you change all of Bill Gate's money to US$1 notes, you can make a road from earth to moon, 14 times back and forth. But you have to make that road non-stop for 1,400 years, and use a total of 713 BOEING 747 planes to transport all the money.

Bill Gates is 40 this year. If we assume that he will live for another 35 years, he has to spend US$6.78 Million per day to finish all his money before he can go to heaven.

Last but not the least: If Microsoft Windows' users can claim US$1 for every time their computers hang because of Microsoft Windows, Bill Gates will be bankrupt in 3 years !!!!!!! !!!!

    I know a great story about him . . .a true story.

It is about how people like him really bring good things to themselves by helping others. Why they deserve such good things:

    The way I heard the story . . .

A young man, engaged to be married, was out driving in his old car. The wedding was not far away and the guy and his fiance' were working very hard. They had just purchased a new home with a 30-year mortgage. Thus, the young man figured, he would have to drive an old car for several years (30 years) to keep his new wife in this house. His job was good, still, only had so many raises a year.

The young man's old car got a flat on the side of the road . . .and his spare was also flat. He was stuck. And he had left his wallet at home.

A limosene pulled up, as it was way out away from traffic . . . and the guy in the limo asked "Can I help?"

The guy in the limo drove the guy to the nearest tire store, paid for the tire and drove him all the way back to the car. While on the long trip in the limo to the city . . . the young man told the limo guy all about his new home and his wife-to-be, without complaining; and how he had just left his wallet at the office (he was only going on a quick errand). The young man talked about how they have a 30-year plan and all and how hard they both plan on working to have their dreams . .

After they returned to the car, the young man, gave his information to the limo guy -- and said, I'd like to pay you back. The limo guy said he would be in touch.

A month later, as the young man went to pay another house payment on the new home ... the bank said, "No, it's been paid in full."

There was no mortgage, his house was paid for! The limo guy was Bill Gates and he paid it off after hearing about a young man doing "the right thing" and being a good person. The note read, "To ease your load; a wedding gift. Bill Gates."

The young couple, of course, were now able to get a better car and start a family in a home that was paid for!

A bibliography is a list of resources you used when writing a book or paper.

If you just need sources about Gates, Google is your best friend. If you need actual info, take the list you come up with and go to the library.

There is info about his charities all over online.
