I heard from the news that the situation in the states are not looking too bright as well. We are also facing the problem of retrenchment here in Taiwan. Nevertheless, let's keep our heads up and work through this rough patch. Keep it up.

    not looking too bright=很不樂觀

    retrenchment=裁員

    keep our heads up=往好的方向看

    rough patch=難關

    Keep it up=加油

    翻好了。沒有逐字翻。希望對你有幫助。

    Dear Mr. John Doe,

How are you doing Mr. John Doe!

I might as well say that we are in the same boat, however, we have to do something to work out and overcome the difficulties which we have been encountered both sides under the affects of the Financial Storm happened universally not long before.

I heard and viewed from the TV news reports and through the video clips on the Internet, I knew the situation of the American economy is still not that optimistic at the moment, and so is here in Taiwan . Employees in our business of Taiwan side are facing to be laid off or getting a no-pay vacation during the production idling. Somehow we have to go on seeking much more incentive and innovative measures to get both sides business going firmly and profitably.

May you have a smooth path working out for a prosperous development!

    With the best greetings,

    YU_YU
