what is a SPECTRA?!?!?
its for science class..... i know what a SPECTRUM is but not a SPECTRA!!! can some tell me what it is?!??!

A "SPECTRUM" literally means a set of (a range of) colors, frequencies etc. Electromagnetic spectrum means all the frequency ranges of EM waves. Color spectrum means the full set of all visible colors. Some pharmaceuticals say this is a "wide spectrum antibiotic" which means that medicine can be used for a variety of diseases.
Oh and by the way, "spectrum" is a plural of spectra.

If you know what a "spectrum" is then you know what a "spectra" is --- more than one spectrum. Like, the spectrum from the sun shows carbon lines, but the spectra from the sun and the star Alpha Centauri are similar.
