# How do you calculate K(c) and K(p)?

alright here is my question...

The following reaction:

2HI(g) (DOUBLE ARROWS) I2(g) + H2(g)

occurs at 298 K. If 2.00 moles of HI are placed into a 1.00 L container and permitted to react, at equilibrium it is found that 20.0% of the HI has decomposed. Calculate K(c) and K(p).

initial concentration HI = 2.00/ 1.00 = 2.00 M

at equilibrium [HI]= 2.00 x 20 / 100 = 0.400 M

[H2] = [I2] = 0.400/2 = 0.200 M

K = (0.200)^2 / (0.400)^2 = 0.25
