What genre of singers does AI look for during auditions? Do you think that musical theatre singers could make it on AI?

Whatever suits you best. If you have a big strong voice, a huge pop ballad is probably best. If you are from the south & love country, some Martina, Shania, Carrie, Kellie, or Taylor is good.

Musical Theatre singers can and have make/made it. Songs from Wicked and Hairspray aren't the best for auditions, though, because you aren't showing them that you can be more than a musical theater person.

I believe AI searches for the most marketable singers. It's up to the voters to decide the outcome, so sometimes popularity wins over talent.

pop-ish so its possible im a theatre dude and i believe as long as u entertain and can make ppl watch the show u will stay in for a long time
