But it was sure to be awkward with Charlie. Neither of us was what

anyone would call verbose, and I didn't know what there was to say regardless. I knew he was more than a little confused by my decision- like my mother before me, I hadn't made a secret of my distaste for Forks.

Update:

Neither of us was what anyone would call verbose:意思是說沒有人會覺得Bella跟她爸是愛講話的人,就是他們兩人都是不多話的,也都不愛參加party。

    like my mother before me應該是:

I knew he was more than a little confused by my decision- like my mother before me, I hadn't made a secret of my distaste for Forks.

    Thank You!

    sorry

"....I knew he was more than a little confused by my decision" confused

Sure, "Twilight " was one of the most fascinated movie last year, but some people were very disappointed about the romantic part.

It was surely awkward to stay with Charlie. We were speechless with each other and could be called a verbose.
