    ~Juan Jose Alverez Sanchez and his wife, Lela Zoraida. On Hispaniola at La Navidad in December, 1492.

  • welll columbus came in 1492 and he was sailing for spain.....which is a spanish speaking country...and he did claim florida.....

    I think it was Hernan Cortés and his crew but I'm not entirely sure..
