right now o am a junior in high school and plan to major in Equine Business MAnegment., hear are some colleges with majors that have to do with horses. Centenary College Cazenovia College UMaine UCONN Johonson And Whales Mount Holyoak(best equestrian team in New England) Louisville College Bethany College St. Andrews Presbyterain College Post University Connecticut College University of Georgia University of Tennessee Vermont Tech Virgina Tech that's all i can think of. Since your only in middle school i would consentrate on trying to show as much as possible since thats what equestrian teams and colleges with equestrian majors are looking for. Also when you write your essay to your college you can prove your knowledge and have your show record on hand for your application. So if you are showing keep a record of your shows, what classes you entered in and what you placed. I added a link from the University of Georgia Website(has the number 1 equestrian team in the nation) the link is a recruting questionare to show what a equestrian team is looking for in there riders.

Tons! May I first suggest the book Horse Schools Third Edition by Angelia Almos. It is amazing and has schools all over the world from the US to Europe, everywhere!

The ones I know best are Williams Woods in Missouri and Stephen's College. (Be aware, Stephen's College is an all women's college) Both have programs in Equine science, Saddle seat, Western, Hunter/Jumper, and Dressage. Also, they have programs in Equine buisness.

UC Davis is another great school! They have so many programs outside of horses for variety, but are a vet school by trade so if anything goes wrong with your horse you have the best on hand! Plus they have an Equestiain Team, Boarding, and Lessons.

Source(s): I'm applying for colleges right now! Plus I've lived around horses for all my lifetime.

Tarleton State University in Stephenville Texas.

North Central Texas College in Gainsville, Texas

Source(s): I attended both schools and they have excellent equine programs.
  • Ok, well i don't have a list for you, but I will tell you that The Auburn equestrian team is an amazing hunter/Equitation riding team. I go to their camps every summer, and get to train with the riders their. They have beautiful facilities, and wonderful horses! I'm definately planning on going there myself, so you should definately take a look at their website! Good luck,!
