How many quarts of oil?

Im about to do the first oil change on my 2005 Honda Civic with a 1.7L V-Tec. Im too lazy to check the manual, but how many quarts of oil does it take? Also, Is the STP oil filters good? Thank you.

Thanks #2. I bought the stp because it was cheap. And the manual says 3.7 quarts. thank you.

    4 quarts,STP is OK.

    Four quarts and an additional 1/2 quart for the filter. STP filters are OK, but you don't need to buy the expensive filter. Any one that is on sale will do just fine.

    The GTO holds 6.5 quarts of oil. At least the 2004 with the 5.7 did. I am not sure on the new 6.0. Should be the same.

    You're actually right. It's 3.7 Qts. If you put 4 qts. in you'll be a little bit over the full mark. As far as the filter goes.. You can't go wrong with FRAM.

    4-4.5 qts with filter put in 4 run it for a minute then check it twice. stp filters are okay.
