I would advise you to visit Dell Technical Support and search for the Service Manual to your Dell Inspirion 5150. At the same time you might want to query local Computer Repair shops on a fixed price, if they have done this type of Notebook Video repair before and the warranty (hopefully 30 to 90 days or more)...or go to your local Craigslist as many used Dell Notebook PCs are being sold locally by those familiar with replacing Dell Notebook components.

I didn't do extensive research but below gives you an idea of the price of the Dell video replacement parts: actually the less expensive one have 16MB or 32MB Video RAM and more expensive one 64MB Video RAM

Note that Notebook PCs are different than Desktop PCs and the Motherboard dictates the actual compatibilty...which is the great & wonderful thing about Dell Notebook PCs (I own 3 myself) that Dell parts are readily available on EBAY at reasonable price bec majority of government and businesses use Dell PCs.

    Hope the Above Info Helps!
