I believe in getting your kids vaccinated. While some of the really bad illnesses have been eradicated in the United States, Canada, and the UK, other places still struggle with these illnesses. Southeast Asia, the Middle East and places in Africa just to name a few. With all the foreign travel going on there a huge risk that someone could have come into contact with a person who has, say polio, and then come back into the country and start an outbreak. It's that easy. I mean look at what's happening in Minn. There been 4 cases of Hib, and one of the babies has died from it. 3 of those that were infected with Hib were not vaccinated against it.
There has been no evidence that autism is linked to vaccinations. In fact the first study that linked autism and vaccinations was only done with 12 children. Not to mention most of the authors of the original study have recanted their findings.
Point is the benefits of the vaccinations outweigh the risks.
