I just had my first atlas orthogonal treatment today. I am a dental hygienist, and I put my neck and back through a lot of twisting and bending throughout the day. Most days after work I leave sore and uncomfortable. I have found incredible benefit from both Chiropratic and massage therapy techniques since I became a dental hygienist. One time I saw my regular M.D. for my discomfort, and he just put me on muscle relaxers and pain killers. That is just a band-aid on the problem. It doesn't solve anything. There is a reason that alternative medicine is popular and has been around for so long.....because it works! Anyway, today I had an A.O treatment due to the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome and the usual neck pain. It was a very easy procedure. The doctor took 4 xrays, evaluated them and me, had me answer a series of questions, and did the adjustment. It was quick and painless. I have to say though that tonight my upper back and neck is stiff and sore. My doctor did tell me that it is very common after your first treatment. I have been drinking lots of water, and I took a nice relaxing bath for some relief. I cannot yet say if I will see benefits from this technique, but I can say I know several people that have had great results. It is especially effective for migraines, arthritis, and a number of other problems. Hope this helps. I am a health care provider, and I understand the need and importance of traditional medicine. However, I think that alternative medicine along with traditional medicine can bring people a longer, healthier, and happier life. Good luck!
