請問，by the day的用法中有類似於day by day，或every day的嗎？

by the day也許有別的意義，但以提出版主問題角度來說：

by the day, day by day，everyday意思差不多。 用法是可以代換。

例子：

He is getting smarter by the day. 他一天比一天（越來越）聰明。

She runs faster by the day. ( 可能她每天練習跑步，所以)........她一天比一天跑得快。

We became more anxious by the day (by the hour). 我們一天比一天或一小時比一小時（越來越）急躁。

其實應該不類似

by the day..意思是 "當哪天..."

day by day是一天過一天的或者是每天的

everyday 是每天的

例句:

By the day you saw this letter, I've already left this country.

(當哪天你看到這封信時 我已經離開國家了)

Day by day I still couldn't stop thinking about you.

(一天又一天的過了可是我還是一直再想你)

I saw this girl everyday.

(我每天都看到這個女孩)
