Will America ever give up?
And just face the reality that they have failed policies?
Is it too late to base economic decisions on successful governments like France?

Listen Francophile. The best selling book in France 2 years ago was by a French Women who worked for power company entitled How to get a paycheck without working. I was caught in a Paris rally about 8 years ago where the unemployed were complaining about not receiving a 13th monthly check usually regarded as a Holiday bonus- for what ? a bonus for being shiftless

Dude, France is falling apart at the seams.
From ethnic riots, high unemployment, high cost of living, rampant inflation... to the same conditions we find ourselves in here with banks not lending and foreclosures of financial houses.
The US isnt perfect and we have to be introspective and fix some of the mistakes and/or errors in judgement we've made. Hopefully with he new prez, we can do this. But looking to France as a model would be terribly flawed.

I don't know what you mean by "giving up", but a lot of people realized that the Bush administraiton was a failure... hence the election of Barack Obama.
