Does the West Nile Virus attack the central nervous system?

i am researching a disease that attacks the central nervous system.

Right now i am just looking for options.

I checked Wikipedia, and i could not figure out whether it attacked the central nervous system.

    This is a great site for what you need to know. And yes...it can develop into a CNS disease in advanced states.

    First of all, never trust anything on Wikipedia because people like myself take immense joy in putting up false information whenever possible. The trick is to layer it in so it goes undetected. Go check out WebMD. Living in NYC, I can say with confidence that yes, it does attack your central nervous system. That's pretty much all it does. Sometimes you know, sometimes you don't. Very few actually die. Flu-esque.
