Get a computer and a camera and start practicing filming and recording Try to make basic trailers for fun then put them in a portfolio and use this for job interviews.....

There are fifty (50) schools in Australia that have film/television curriculum. There are too many to list here, but go to the website http://www.whatireallywanttodo.com and click on the "Filmschools" link at the top. You'll find all the schools in your area along with contact information for each.
It will take a bit of research on your part to investigate all the schools that are in your area, but once you narrow the choices down, take the time to contact each of the schools and speak with professors in the film/TV/media departments about your specific situation and what your goals are.
Apart from schooling, you should also seek out an internship or some way to spend time working with/observing professional Editors. Look for local TV affiliates and production companies that produce corporate and commercial projects. You may only get to sit and watch or they may have you getting coffee or you may get the chance to "assist" in some way once you are get used to the process.

I personally find geeks (that's not me insulting you, in fact I suggest you take it as a compliment) absolutely adorable!! (another compliment xD) Alot of girls, especially in todays day and age, find geeky guys really cute (: I found your video funny and even if your hobbies turn off some girls, why stop something you love to do for someone who can't appreciate the effort you're putting in? Find a girl who loves geeks and you'll be cherished for life! xD ~ and trust me when I say that there are some really good looking girls out there who are looking for guys with hobbys like you :P xx
