    braw means = good or great or very nice

    If it's a lovely sunny day you might say

    'It's a braw day the day, sure it is ?'

    it's not slang, but Gaelic. The word is breá in Irish Gaelic, and it's very similar in Scots Gaelic. It means "good".

      Actually... it's old norse (or more properly, eastern old norse, what later turned into Swedish). Vikings brought the word to both scottish and gaelic, and the literal translation of "good" into swedish today is "bra".
