    I'm from the northeast and this is how I say them...if thats what you're asking.



    tive-short I sound, dont say the E


    sive-same as tive

    No stress is applied to -ment, -tive, -tude, or -sive, ever.

    In -itis, the AI sound in the "it" is stressed, but the final "tis" is not.

    NONE of those suffixes are of English descent. Stress rules? You need a whole word to see how a word is stressed, not just a portion of it.
