Is an m1911 to big for concealment carrying?

Like is a Springfield GI .45 1911 to big for concealment I would like opinions on my question. I would like opinions on good .45 ACP concealment weapons also. thx

    Carried concealed M1911 for years (****** and locked), then Colt Commander (shorter slide) with a Smith backup 38. Good caliber for protection is 45 ACP; the 9MM just doesn't always hack it.

    Depends on your build and clothing options.

    The 1911 is a thin gun, so it can be easier to conceal in some cases than a glock.

    Yes it is to big . And to old. Go for a 9 or a 32 . alot smaller and better.
