Is Israel currently under any UN violations ?

UN violations were cited against Saddam Hussein, What if another large country used it as justification for their invasion of Israel?

Israel currently has 138 UN Violations, these violations mainly consist of unlawful attacks on its neighbors, it's violations of the human rights of the Palestinians including deportations, demolitions of homes and other collective punishments; its confiscation of Palestinian land; its establishment of illegal settlements; and its refusal to abide by the U.N. Charter and the 1949 Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. Its illegal occupation of neighboring land in Lebanon, South Lebanon was illegally occupied by Israel for 20 years, this is why Hezballah was created, Lebanese men formed a group which fought this occupation & succeed to remove all Israeli forces from South Lebanon in 2000 except in Shebaa Farms.

Israel also continues to violate Lebanese airspace which is a violation against the recent UN treaty for Israel & Lebanon. Israel has targeted UN forces & UN buildings, most recently in the Gaza conflict in 2008/2009 and previously in the Lebanon war in 2006. Israel has also violated humanitarian law/crimes against humanity and international law. In 2006 Israel used Phosphorus bombs on the Lebanese civilians. Phosphorus is a chemical weapon. That same war in the final 72 hours before the ceasefire was to be put in place Israel dropped one million cluster bombs in Lebanon. These are both crimes against humanity and war crimes. Israel further refuses to cooperate with UNIFIL by giving them the coordinates to the cluster bombs. On average one Lebanese civilian dies each day from these cluster bombs until today. Israel also refuses Palestinian refugees the right to return and Israel also has not compensated these refugees. Israel continues its 18 month blockade against the Palestinian civilians. Israel will not let a UN peacekeeping force enter its country to observe and assess the situation and many times Israel denies journalists the right to enter and report. Many international activists have been killed by the IDF, known world wide Rachel Corrie was run down by an Israeli bulldozer because she was protesting the demolition of a Palestinian home.

Many of these UN violations by Israel have been vetoed by the United States. Israel has the highest number of UN resolutions world wide.

    OCCUPATION 101

EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DEFEND THEIR SELVES, the OCCUPIED ARE DEFENDING THEIR SELVES FROM THE OCCUPIERS, Israel currently occupies Palestinian and Lebanese land. Palestinians and Lebanese do not occupy any Israeli land. Israel neither respects its obligations under international law, including international humanitarian law. Israel doesn't recognize international law nor international borders.

Yes. UN Security Council Resolution 242. Which by the name probably means it came from the Security Council and not the General Assembly. But with the US on the Security Council, they've been blocking any sanctions against Israel.

No, UN resolutions Israel is supposedly violating come from the General Assembly, not the Security Council.

    Therefore, they mean squat.

N Cognito: General Assembly resolutions written up by Arabs. Nice try.

I think, no, and good luck attacking Israel. They have one of the strongest, most vicious and most advanced military on earth. Not only are they all skilled fighters but they also have the help of the Big El. You know... God. :)

Interesting, but Israel has one of the deadliest military in the world funded by the US.

To the above poster, the US funded those chemical weapons to Iraq to use it when they were fighting against Iran. Know your history.

The U.S. would not blindly help Israel. The U.S. helped created the fourth best defense force in the worldwide, that's Israel. even with the shown fact that, who paid for the weapons that are killing harmless Palestinians? people. permit's seem at merely one small occasion of how weapons are used against Palestinians: Iman al Hams replace right into a 13 year previous woman murdered by ability of an Israeli soldier jointly as walking to college. The Israeli solider replace into instructed that the lady replace into in basic terms a baby and alter into afraid, yet he went forward and shot her. After confirming his kill then he preceded to shoot her 17 situations. replace into justice served? No, he replace into acquitted of the crime even with asserting why he killed her, "something this is cellular, that strikes in the zone, whether this is a three-year-previous, needs to be killed." His troop replace into no longer decrease than attack. that's in basic terms a style of what Palestinians flow by. the 1st suicide bomb replace into performed in retaliation by ability of Israeli's movements, an action itself that horrified Palestinians. even with the shown fact that, Palestinians are confronted with American defense force weapons jointly as they simply have mere rifles. the those that dedicate suicide bombs sense that they've in basic terms their bodies to combat with. regrettably, they do objective harmless Iraqi people and not the actual enemy, that's the Israeli government. worry is the only emotion that Palestinians sense as they are abused without wish in sight. they are portrayed simply by fact the enemies and at some point their unheard screams of help gets back to hang-out the persons who've tried to silent them. coaching with reference to the homicide of Iman al Hams replace into taken from "Freedom next Time" by ability of John Pilger.

The US has veto power on the security council. So as long as we are on their side, they can't be sanctioned by the UN.

Such an invader would then be guilty of violating proportionality (so often cited by U.N. boosters).

Funny that no one bothers making the distinction between binding and non binding resolutions.
