Do yourself a favor and walk instead. This so called bike that wal mart sells is flat out JUNK. Now I can understand if you don't have the money available to you to buy better but remember this you DO NOT GET SERVICE ON BIKES AT WAL MART!!! You do at your local bike shop and if you can find something used there that would be a much better bet. I have tires that cost more than this whole set-up....EACH.
Do not expect this so called bike to last you very long, because it WILL NOT - It will rust even if you leave it inside! You get what you pay for and this is a classic example of that...!
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy this you will not regret that one bit OR go ahead and get one, (my first bike was from wal Mart) and when you have your first problem with it (first 2 minutes of ridding it) you will wish you had listened to all of us...
Your only option with Wal Mart is to return it or exchange it, they do not offer repair services (no one there that knows what they are doing) and you will probably get another one that is no better than the first...Save your money and deal with a bike shop that dosent sell oven mitts too!
Oh yeah, any of these answers that say this is a "good deal" ...sure you can get from A to B on one of these, but you cant get back to A with it and they are obviously walking too!
5,6,7, and 8 speed bikes are very soon going to be relics, especially the first three, as the industry dosent support parts for any of these anymore....we cant even get 5 and 6 speed parts anymore - suppliers wont or do not carry them! Look into an 8-9 speed bike. Bike shops dont support the dept store bike parts either!
