What do you think of skin bleaching?

A lot of white people think it is the equivalent to tanning, but it's a little more deeper than that. Tanning has just recently become popular, where as fair skin has been worshiped for centuries because it meant you were rich and didn't work in the fields.


And in a lot of African, Asian and Latin American countries lighter tone people were better are treated better than darker skinned people. But in the US pale people aren't discriminated against at all. In fact some really tan people are looked at as shallow because they baked themselves under UV lights for an hour which is really dangerous. Enough with my babbling what do you think?
