Do the American people do enough to ensure politicians adhere to our Constitutional Values?
It seems that increasingly the government is eroding or skirting the Constitution, what do you think we should do about it ?

The Declaration of Independence explains what is to be done about it; the Second Amendment suggests a means.

Apparently the American people have no idea what Constitutional values are. They have consistently elected politicians, especially presidents, who appoint Supreme Court Justices who have absolutely no idea how to interpret the Constitution. They legislate from the bench. This holds true for other appointed judges too. They are so liberal that you would think they are from an entirely different country.
Now the American people have elected a so-called Constitutional law expert (what a load of crap) who believes that it should be changed to fit the social and political winds of the day. In other words, lets just do whatever the hell we want to do and to hell with the Constitution. It's just a worthless piece of paper anyway.
What can we do? Looks like it's too late to do anything now. Our only hope was Ron Paul, and unless Texas leaves the Union and he becomes president of the Republic of Texas, the Constitution is dead and gone.

If we did we would have a different country today. One of the worst violations of our Constitution was allowing our currency to be handed to the Foreign Private Owned International Banking Federal Reserve. Our economic stability and future was given to foreign influence. That is why now we have seen the raping of our Constitution on a rampant scale of injustice. Our economic future as well as the security of this Nation is at risk of complete failure and takeover.
We The People have been divided as a Nation is so many ways. Turn on the media or newspapers and see how they confuse the real issues with stories of division. Partisan politics have turned our political system into a farce of politicians not adhering to representing their contituants. Instead they get in on party politics and serve special interests, self purpose and banking influence. We The People only exist in partisan Vote, then WE THE PEOPLE and our CONSTITUTION is forgot. Stop being a good Democrat or Republican... START being GREAAT AMERICANS. Neither one of you ignorant die hard liberals or conservatives are doing anything to make this Country better. BOTH tread on the Constituion for which it stands by trying to impose unrealistic values that no way will the majority agree. Stop the division and get back to reality of what our country was founded. Do not vote for party just because of party. Your party does not care about following the agenda you think they will. They will only follow the special interest and power that is trying to self implode this Nation.
How do we "CHANGE" this course we are on. Start voting outside or for party members that display a "TRUE" value of representing the constituants that they represent. Shake Washington politics theough the vote of WE THE PEOPLE will not stand no more for the injustice of not working for us and this Nation. Vote for politicians that will start having a true plan for repairing the problems we face. No flase promises or unrealistic campaign plans....just the truth of how they will represent the people and defend our Constitution.
We now vote on party, media popularity, who spends the most on their campaign or who has the cleanest DIRTY laundry. If we want change and really want to make the politicians "CHANGE", we must vote out over 80% of congress and senate this next 4 years. Get rid of the incumbents that are tainted with injustice of representing their duty in office and are considered to be derilict in duty.
Everyone wants to see change then in the congress and senate we see the same people that have done nothing to help this Nation. Shake up Washington by vote and let us change with a new. Give the new people four years to prove that they represent the people. If they do by vote, then they stay. If they do not, vote in another until we find a "New" structure that will provide us the "Change" we so desire as a people.

God no. I think most Americans can't even spell Constitution let alone know what's in it or what it's meaning is. Public schools & college didn't teach it when I was in school. I'm sure it hasn't change & few will take the time to go look at it. They know only the buzz phrazes, which are usually personal interpretations & not what's really said in it.
Teach it early & often. And show a proficient knowledge of it before you can vote. Say the citizenship test.

We continue to re-elect the incumbents regardless of their records or transgressions. The bailout was a good example. How many people were incensed about that action? Most people! How many incumbents who voted for it were voted out? Very few. The problem in the United States is that we are divided partisans with short memories. These two standards seem to trump all else and therefore are perpetuated by the powers that be to keep us distracted and divided from the real issues we should be addressing as a people. What do we do you ask? Start paying attention and stop voting for the party line.

They are Constitutional Rights and not values. Most people in the United States and I will wager on this board, could not pass the most simple test regarding the Constitution. So it should come as no shock that document has become lost to the American Public.

Not enough people are aware or educated enough about the constitution to realize that our government is a dictatorship. All the majority seems to know is that something is wrong and that hope and change sounds good. What a joke.

No, they are not, and I think part of the problem is that an increasing number of citizens have no concept of what constitutional values are. Blame for this sad situation can be laid at the feet of our left-wing education establishment.

What if ALL of the VOTERS in this land made a phone call, or sent an email or fax to their Congresspeople?
Would Congress get the message that we want them to represent US
and not GREED INC.
Just a thought.

Not even close! Not for over fifty years, we haven't been, but instead have allowed our elected professional politicians pretty much free rein with our government, our money and our freedoms, which they have slowly been eroding since the 30's.
What can we do? Vote them all out, every single one, at both the state and the federal level, and replace them with people whose goal is to serve rather than to solidify their oppression. We need people who don't feel they are entitled to rule, who still remember what it's like to work for a living, and who have the common sense to run this country for the betterment of all, rather than the privilege of the few.
