if Christmas is about Jesus, why is Santa the trademark of Christmas?

    Santa is the secular symbol of Christmas. We live in a society of many cultures and many different beliefs. It would offend a lot of people if Jesus was plastered all over the place, especially in public. People are less threatened by Santa.

    I mean, you have to be very careful with even saying, "Merry Christmas." If you want to be politically correct, you must say "Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings"

    Coz people want to take God and religion out of everything! So now it's not Marry Christmas it's Happy Holidays.

    I still say marry CHRIST-mas

    ha ha yeah thats wierd.

    so saint nick was someone that was real that gave gifts to kids, a long time ago. santa is portraying nick, and nick is a saint.
