"Does this mean it is anti-feminist for a woman to let a man pay for dinner while on a date?"
No, it's anti-feminist for a woman to assume that the man should ALWAYS pay, or that she's not obligated to at least pay half at some point. My theory is this: Whoever initiates the date should pay. After that, depending on who makes what, the bill should be shared or whoever feels like paying should pay. However, if I offer to pay or at least pay for myself, I really don't want a guy fighting me on it because it makes him look childish and overbearing.
"so a goal of feminism is not just equality but also some type of restitution?"
The main goal of feminism is for women to be treated like adults, as opposed to being lumped in with children (as in "women and children"). It's not about being better than men or fighting for female supremacy. Okay, maybe it is for radical feminists, but not for the rest of us.
