if u get paid to sing/perform at a resturant or something, can u play music off that are off the radio or does it have to be music that is ur own?

    yeah you can use it, as long as you're not trying to make money off the song itself. Its the same thing as kareoke (however you spell it)

    If you're being paid to sing, your employer is going to expect that you sing and not just lipsync to a radio. Due to copyright laws, you're going to be expected to play your own song or songs that are free to the public.

    If you are doing the the singing/playing, you can cover (perform) another group's songs.
