What do they mean by "data"?

In my scientific abstract which is located here-http://sciserv.org/isef/document/abstrct.pdf they say that I have to write my purpose my procedure data and conclusion. well what do they mean by data? isnt that the same as conclusion?

help anyone?

    Hey, hope I can help,

    Data is the information that you have accumulated from your experiment.

    For example, in a mold experimentation on bread, some data might be that mold grew on the bread after 7 days. Data is your recorded measurements or the information that you have gathered.

    The conclusion on the other hand, is when you put your data together to come up with a solution as to why the phenomenon occurred. In your conclusion, you will try to explain what happened and WHY.
