POEM:

Pelted shapeless in rush hour crush
As in a whash mash mocki making
A mad cab exhaust spot
Bicycle pedestrian car cart jostling
Hip to bumper, wheel to toe
Police whistle siren scream political
Speech radio single neon I blur
Into this excess of faceless flesh rushing
Round this blender of glazed eyes –
Particle waves of people
Whip at typhoon speed past ticket takers
The world’s most accurate mechanical men
And pummel up subway systems
Spew onto streets and platforms
Where demons within demons within demons
Riot for release or finale
Like staccato repetitions in frenzied fugues
Locked in a constant crescendo –
Canada oh my home and native land
Give me land lots of land don’t
Fence don’t fence me in –

I need to find the theme and other poetry devices!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks! :)
