Vegans : Wearing wool?

Why do you not wear wool? Sheep need to be sheared yearly anyway, so what's wrong with making something out of it?

Just curious to learn about veganism, so thanks for answering =]

properly, a fantastic form of wool is from the Australian wool commerce, that's cruel and particularly bloody. Vegans do basically no longer use something that got here from an animal, whether the animal grew to become into no longer exploited. I recommend, could we like it if our hairdressers made cardigans out of our hair and offered them? i'm vegetarian, yet placed on the occasional wool merchandise, offering the wool isn't from Australia. i'm able to ensure the place you're coming from, because of the fact it does not quite harm the sheep.

Oh so many intelligent responses here......... *note the sarcasm*

It is a myth that sheep need to be sheared, how do you think animals survived before humans and farming industries came along!? ;)

Wool production is just as intense as any other animal farming industry, sheep as seen as nothing more than a product and suffer wounds and abuse from the fast and haphazard shearing methods.

The timing of the shearing is also off- wild sheep shed their coats naturally, but in farming they are sheared prematurely and as a result millions die from it.

Vegans do not believe in animals as products for any use, and know that anything animals have or produce belongs to that individual not us :)

When the wool industry says that these animals need to be sheared, and are actually doing them a favor, this is a myth. They shed their wool when they need to. I don't know which is worse.....the wool industry, for making such an arrogant statement, or the masses who actually believe it.

Vegans and non-vegans should stay out of each other's lives. It's just two different realities. When I heard vegans won't eat honey because it exploits bees, I pretty much gave up on them. Fruit and most of their veggies are commercially pollenated in the process of making honey, but that's ok somehow.

Naturally the wool would fall off, and millions of sheep die each year from sheering.

Because Vegans Believe in having nothing to do with any animal by-product. Including Wool,Silk,Milk, etc...

And to those who say we are stupid:: Its OUR CHOICE. Get over yourselves, Just because you call somebody dumb for doing what they believe in, it is NOT GOING TO CHANGE OUR MINDS. So please, leave the chilidish immaturity at age 10.

    Vegans should wear wool.

If vegans really wanted to stop killing things, they

    should stop eating plants also..

Every vegetable they eat is killing a plant..

Every grain they eat is an unborn plant...

Plants are living things and have a right to life.

Vegans are paranoid hippies who lack common sense. The vegan insurgants will stop at nothing to insure that we all eat like rabbits and live in hippie communes under their animalia theistic beliefs.
