    log10(100) is the same as log(100) / log(10)

you move the 10 in front to the hundred by making it a power

    so 10log(100) becomes log(100^10)

    log(1000) equals 3

    log(10) equals 1

    3/1 = 3

    7x-10 = 10x -15 Subtract 7x to left side -10 = 3x - 5 Add 15 5 = 3x Divide by 3 5/3 or 1 2/3
