請問一下in the way和on the way的用法差異?

這兩個片語是各用在哪種地方或句型?

像..當方法講時..當路途講時..等等..該用IN還是ON..?

in the way 是指擋路

Ex. You are in my way. 你擋到我了

或是說某種方法

Ex. I live in an ordinary way. 我生活地很平常.

on the way 是指在路上

Ex.I am on the way home. 我在回家的路上

兩者應該沒有互通的意思唷

in the way：

in the way 可延伸為 in one's way，作 「阻礙、妨礙」解。

Example： Her private life got in the way of her further studies.

她的私生活阻礙了深造學業。

換一個字 in a way 作 in an extent 解，意謂 「還算‧‧‧」。

Example： This work is well done in a way.

這項工作作得還算不錯。

on the way：

on the way 即 in progress, moving along in one's course 作

「進行中」、「路途中」解。

Example： My parents are on the way home after hours.
