Not really. Having worked in the customer service industry, I'm amazed at how much people complain when prices go up just a little bit, even though it's been the same price since forever. If it were going up to 1.99, I might be a little peaved, if I weren't already completely tired of McDonalds greeseburgers already. The $1 menu has been around since 2001. And the Double has always been on there. So 19 cents over the last 7 1/2 years is still pretty decent given the rate of inflation.
If you want something to be mad at, try milk, cheese, and bread. The price of these have basically leveled off over the last year or so. Before that, the cost of a gallon of milk went up $1.50 in just 1 year from 2.79 to 4.29. Real deli cheese has gone from 4.99/lb to 6.99 over the last 2 years, Kraft singles have gone from 1.99 to 2.79 on sale, and a loaf of bread is 1.79, up from .89 in 2005.
Forget McDonald's, my grocery bill is up 67% from 2005. When adjusted for family size (growth and age), it's more like 50%
