Why aren't UAW workers taking night classes to retrain themselves to be employable when Big 3 go under?

They should be taking classes in the evening to update their skills and prepare for the future. Jobs of the future will require skilled, educated workers. Even if the bailout does happen, it will only prolong the life of the auto companies for a few months. New companies will be moving to Michigan, but they will want highly skilled, educated workers. UAW members should take this warning time to prpare for these future jobs.

How do you know that some are not? And what kind of training should they be pursuing? Heating and cooling? We don't know what kind of new jobs there will be in the future and there isn't any training schools that I know of that train for "green energy" because we are not sure what that really is yet.

They are learning to speak Chinese, so they can understand the only employers in America.

If they get educated, they will be over-qualified for the future American economy.

while they are taking classes to 'prpare' for their futures, perhaps you should go back to elementary school and learn how to spell.

Somebody seems to be a shade green because they don't work for a union

Because they make 90% of their wages doing nothing. But of course the UAW has done nothing to destroy the industry. Hmmm.....
