    Basically. I'd trust a crackhead over a cop.

    Depends upon the officer and how self-disciplined he or she is.

    Most are trying to do their jobs, but the stress, over-work and underpay, lack of adequate training and other resources lead some of them to cut corners and some to be brutes against citizens, some even end up killing unarmed citizens while on the job. It's not right to put people in those conditions and expect them to always behave properly. Stress takes away a person's ability to make the best decisions and to maintain self-discipline.
