Is it better to roast a prime rib or turkey breast in a slow cooking roaster?
We are making thanksgiving turkey breast and prime rib tomorrow... Would it be better to make the prime rib in the oven or the free standing roaster, like the ones you plug into the wall?
and if so,.... how long will it take in the roaster and how should we prepare it? Its only for 4 people.

I would do the turkey in the roaster. Turkeys need more attention and basting than prime rib, so it is actually easier to cook them in a roaster than the oven. Easier access.
The cooking times for both will depend upon the weight and cooking tempreture. Turkeys should be cooked to 165 F and allowed to rest for 20 minutes before carving. Prime rib should register 120 F to 130 F and allowed to rest for 15 to 20 minutes before carving.
