Insurance Database for trucks?

Rear ended by a MI trucker in Oklahoma where I live. I am told the national motor carrier div or someone has a database of insurance carriers, but I can't find it. The driver and co. in MI. have told me to kiss off. Aside from suing I have few options. I was hurt but not enough to warrant a lawsuit. Have a Police report. Does such a database actually exist? If so where exactly? Thanks. I have filed with my Ins. Co.

You will need to know the name of the motor carrier or trucking line and then you can search this website. It will give you insurance info and will also give you the "main office" number for the motor carrier.

Don't be surprised if you find that the carrier is "self insured" but they normally have a "blanket policy" of some sort to protect them from LARGE settlements.

Good luck and I hope this helps!
