A U.S citizen must be at least eighteen years or older by the date of election in order for hih/her to vote in the federal election, including president, vice president, senators, and representitives.

However, state wide election may be different. As of now, 19 states allows voters of 17 years old to vote in state elections, including city officials, state legislatures.
