The angle of the 1st pic makes it difficult to see how it complements your face shape and facial features. Short would look better combed back off the forehead. In other words, a Crew Cut or Ivy League(Long Crew Cut) instead of a Forward Brush. Forward Brush Cuts usually complement somewhat wavy hair.
