What are some cities/counties in Tennesse that are rural and mountainous? Sources are appreciated. :)

Johnson City and Bristol are both near the mountains, but big cities arent exactly rural... there are small towns like erwin that you could look into (they have an interesting law regarding elephants)

Eastern Tennessee is the mountainous part. Chattanooga is a good place to start. However, cities are by definition not rural.

Slavery did exist in the mountainous of factors of the South. occasion: Thomas Jefferson lived in the mountainous area of Virginia and owned many slaves. P.S. somebody needs to do somewhat greater learn.
