They actually have a very good program!
Chapman College in Orange http://ftv.chapman.edu/
Loyola Marymount http://sftv.lmu.edu/
Community Colleges -- you can be on track to transfer to a UC. Surprisingly good programs, and you can't beat the cost.
PCC (Pasadena City College) http://www.geocities.com/pcc_cinema
Good luck and have fun!

For the COMPLETE list of the thirty-six filmschools and programs in the Los Angeles area with their contact information, visit http://www.whatireallywanttodo.com and click on the Filmschools link at the top.
The top schools in the area for working filmmakers tend to be USC, UCLA, AFI, and Art Center. But the best thing you can do is contact each of the schools yourself and ask very specific questions that pertain to what YOU want out of the school. Ask to speak with alumni if possible to get a different perspective on the school.
Also prepare yourself by learning as much as you can about the real professional industry by reading What I Really Want to Do: On Set in Hollywood.

You do understand that even if you go to film school, unless you do networking and become friends with Hollywood insiders, you will not get anywhere? Hollywood works on people who know people who know other people.
