Dell Inspiron 1721 or HP Pavilion?

HP because you can get the same components for a relatively much cheaper price. Dell usually has overpriced goods, and when they have "sales," all they do is bring their prices down to the average market price, which is easily beaten by HP and Gateway. By the way, try not to get Athlon Processors, only the intel ones (intel is actually better performance-wise). What about these laptops?

They are better than the Inspiron in every respect (processor, RAM memory, Hard Drive, features, etc).

I would go for Hp if I were you. It's sound system is much better than dell.

Rest things depends upon ur need.

Yeah, it's like comparing crap to regurgitation. Alienware is the way to go.
