What are the possible genotypes of a man who can taste PTC? Let "P" represent the dominant trait.?
here is the full question. I didn't have room to ask the full thing. The ability to taste the bitter chemical PTC (phenylthiocarbamide) is a dominant trait. What are the possible genotypes of a man who can taste PTC? Let "P" represent the dominant trait.

PP or Pp
In order to display a dominant trait, you need at least one dominant allele. And in order to display a recessive trait, both alleles have to be recessive (like pp).
In this case, P is dominant (for tasting) and p is recessive, so PP or Pp will display the trait for tasting PTC.

Pp and PP.
pp would be recessive so those ppl can't taste it.
