F the Irish, Scots and Welsh are all Celts, why is there not much red hair in the welsh population?

Update: IF ....the Irish, Scots and Welsh are all Celts, why is there not much red hair in the welsh population?

Sorry about that.
Update 2: No, of course haircolor doesn't matter much - it's just hair. Just curious about it.
Update 3: Believe me, I know all about the MC1R gene - I'm redheaded myself.

Statistically the Scots have the most in the population followed by the Irish...then everyone else in the world.
Update 4: Well, there's not much red hair anywhere if you get down to it - we are a minority. The majority of the world is brunette.
