All of these problems are due to bad training on the part of your boy friend. 1) Talk to a vet about the gas problem and alternative foods. 2) Could be a gland problem or just needs to be bathed more frequently 3) Anal gland problem - talk to vet 4) Simple - keep the trash out of the dogs reach. Buy a can with a lid 5) If the dog is bothering other people on the street, then you're not properly paying attention to what the dog is doing. If restrained properly, the dog shouldn't be able to get someone's food. 6) Obviously someone has been feeding the dog table food, contributing to the gas problem. Buy a crate where you can put the dog during meals. And stop all table food scraps. 7) Training takes time - especially if the dog is older and has never had training. You might ask your vet for training tips, find a class, or hire someone to help. 8) Same issue as the trash. Keep the litterbox out of the dogs reach. 9) If you watch what it eats, it won't get sick. 10) This dog is probably not used to playing. It's idea of playing is getting food. Only feed the dog during set meal times with no treats in between. It also needs a set time for play and exercise. 11) Nothing you can do about this. It's the price you pay for having a dog. Make your boyfriend clean the yard regularly. You won't be disgusted and it's also healthier for the dog. 12) It's a DOG. :-). If you think the dog makes messes, just wait until you have a kid. Bottom line in all of this is ........it's NOT the dogs fault. Finding a way to live peacefully with a dog is the responsibility of the HUMAN. If your boyfriend truely loves the dog and YOU, he will be willing to work to correct these issues. Also remember.............the dog was there FIRST.
