    Natsume Yuujinchou

Exactly as you asked. The main character both can see supernatural beings while others can't, he decided to help those in need.

Our unlucky protagonist, Jin, uses the trunk of a sacred tree to carve a statue for a school project. When he takes it outside, to his surprise it begins absorbing the surrounding earth and transforms into, hold your breath on this one, a girl! So like all similar setups this guardian deity is pretty pissed that her tree was cut down and lives with Jin while she takes out her anger on squashing, cleaning the "Impurities".

    Spice and Wolf

The story takes place in a distant past. It involves Lawrence, a trader who met a goddess in the form of wolf and she refers to herself as "Horo the Wise."

Phantom Quest Corp. This anime is pretty funny, though rather old (if you don't mind the classics). Back in the 90's, only four episodes were licensed and sold on vhs, but I believe you can find this series at any major anime store such as F.Y.E. or Suncoast (I am not willing to suggest it illegally because this anime has already been licensed).

Others like this would be Chinese Ghost Story (yes, it is an anime), Tokyo Ten, and maybe even slayers (sort of magic world based with alot of comedy, I enjoy it).

Try Ghost's really good, and it's licensed in North America by Funimation and released in two box sets that have a ton of episodes in each one.

Kuro Shitsuji (a demon butler) is pretty good too...and Yakushiji Ryoko no Kaiki Jikenbo (the cases usually have a supernatural nature about them)
