How do I make an M&M wreath using a foam ring and shellac?
Hi! I saw M&M wreaths several years ago, and would now like to make a couple as teacher gifts. The ones I saw were meant to be saved from year to year to be used as decorations. You use green and red M&Ms, and the wreath is shellaced to preserve it. The instructions I've found on the internet have been for M&M wreaths you make and eat. If you could tell me how to make a big wreath, I can adapt it to smaller wreaths. Thank you!

Here is a site with the instructions:

I would use a spray water based polyurethane. It won't melt the M&M and won't yellow.

Glue them on with a quick dry glue (not hot glue, it will melt them) Aleen's quick dry tacky glue would work well.
Shellac them several times with a spray on shellac (not brush on - it might run the colors)
