Open a water crane. Let the water flow into the sink. Take a spoon. Hold it at its end. Come near the pouring water with the round bottom of the spoon ... Oops! The spoon is sucked toward the water!

The round shape accelerates the flow of the water and creates a low pressure. It's the same principle that keeps my light aircraft up in the air: the accelerated flow of air passing over my round wing creates a low pressure over it.

Get a long strip of paper and blow over the top of it, it will lift up due to the higher velocity air going over the top!
