Temperature sensitive mutations?
If a strain of E. coli has a trpA temperature sensitive mutation does this mean that it WILL grow on tryptophan at 30 degrees or 42 degrees?

It will grow on tryptophan at a lower temperature, which is 30 degrees. At 42 degrees, the mutant protein will not function and tryptophan cannot be utilized, leading to cell death eventually.
