To get a reasonable filesize from After Effects you'll want to use H.264, which is a codec for Quicktime .mov files. Depending on the footage you may get better or worse results. I recently took some DV footage that was 4.5GB in size, 3:15 in duration, and brought it down to around 200MB with H.264. If you're using it for a pure motion graphics piece the results will most likely be even better since there's generally less movement and more static areas of the screen.
